Revamping This Website The changes aren’t huge but I’ve been re-ordering What I Have Written Page into two new pages. One for My Short Stories and one for my Movie and TV Reviews, which splits down into years while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Doctor Who and Homeland all have their own pages as I have written so many reviews on them. Check them and let me know what you think of them in the comments below. I’ve also been busy writing new reviews for Culture Jam with six already published so far this year and another four (at the time of writing) waiting to be published. To read my reviews so far check out the 2014 TV and Movies Reviews page.

Creative Writing

I’ve still been doing creative writing in my time away. I’ve performed at West Lothian Write in March and at Black Out in April. Both events really well with great feedback. While I’ve sent a few stories off to magazines and competitions I’ve had no luck so far, however, hopefully my luck will change soon. However, I have been involved in the creation and editing of West Lothian Writers‘ first book From The Purple Notebook. The project was designed to celebrate the work of WLW with the members each allowed to submit a number of pieces. It was a really interesting experience to pull together a book like this and I learnt a lot about how to order a wide range of pieces so they come across in the best possible way. If you want to know whether I’ve been successful you can buy a copy of the book from Lulu at the cost of £4.50. All this has resulted in my 50 Word Stories book being delayed. The first draft is complete however I haven’t had time to fix the issues that became clear once the first draft was finished. My new deadline is the end of June 2014!

Coming Up

So what can you expect to see on here over the next few weeks? Well I will be continuing with the Wallace and Gromit Re-watch, however the posts won’t be as regular as I first said they would due to other commitments. Also expect a couple of posts about the most recent Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the second round of Adaptations focusing on The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. I think that is plenty to be going on with!
