Welcome to my Homeland Reviews page. Homeland is an American spy drama/thriller written by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa based on the Israeli series Hatufim (English title: Prisoners of War) created by Gideon Raff. The show stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis as CIA officer Carrie Mathison and US Marine Nicholas Brody respectively. The story starts with Brody returning to America after being held captive by al-Qaeda in Iraq and Carrie’s suspicions that he is now a threat to the USA. The show also follows Brody’s family and the effect his return has on them. I’ve been watching Homeland from the start of series one and reviewing it from series 2. The first review was a Have You Been Watching…Review for TV Jam, as it was called at the time, before it re-named itself Culture Jam. From series three I’ve been doing a series blog – basically a review of every episode. Homeland is a fantastic series with a great cast, clever writing and interesting story lines. Below you’ll find all my reviews for the show so far. If you are interested in my other thoughts on Homeland check out the Homeland tag on my blog.
